Kenya Community Development Foundation – Open Grant Call for Proposals

The Open grant fund is a competitive grant scheme for Community Based Organizations and other qualified civil society organizations. The fund aims to enhance community participation, strengthen capacity of civil society organizations, enhance livelihood opportunities and influence policy.
Special focus shall be made on innovative projects likely to register reasonable impact and those promoting the wellbeing of targeted communities. This grant is open to all qualified organizations in Kenya.
Grants of between KES 500,000 and 2,000,000 will be awarded.

Diversity resource technologies if a non governmental organization with a vision of organizing program mes to assist youth who are not able to access formal education and are venerable to antisocial behaviors making them non productive and expose to drugs abuse, early pregnancies, early marrieages etc.
The mission of this NGO is to help this community in coming up with alternative employment that is self sustaining. and this we have been doing through seminars workshops and conferences where speakers and experts in sustainable development expose possibilities better sustainable ventures by the youth.
Currently we have a net-work of more than 200 youths distributed with rift valley province nakuru county with contacts areas of communication.
we have not been able to get on well with the projects programmes due to lack of sufficient funding
your community funding initiatives are felt to the ground and are sustainable
we are a community based org,living in Busia county of Teso -south district we saw your comment and we developed interest coz were concerned with our community we live in when youths and women have self sustainability laedding to all these problems in our communitiies
we are a community based organization based in mukuru slums of Nairobi Kenya
we are working to see that the poor are given their rights as per they are supposed to.
we are working in areas of HIV/Aids, orphans and venerable children in the community, the youth and women

Drream cbo is primarily concerned with general health of the disadvantaged and marginalized
vulnerable groups in Isiolo County. Our members are comprised of health care providers and community healthy workers among others.
We are currently engaged in intensified awareness and sensitization activities in the urban slums of East, Central and Oldonyiro Division of Isiolo County and the larger County of Isiolo of upper Eastern Kenya in the following areas;
1.Defaulter tracing for TB/HIV and malaria control.e.g.
a) Home based care for HIV infected.
b) Behavior change communication to stop new HIV infection.
c) Importance of using insecticide treated bed nets
2.Support on nutrition to orphans and vulnerable children(OVC’s)
3.Raising awareness on early disability detection,disability dental care and epileptic welfare.
4.Promoting sustainable income generating activities targeting livelihoods that promote nutrition e.g. kitchen gardening, and chicken rearing.
5.Personal hygiene, household hygiene on jiggers prevention and control.
6.Hygiene promotion and sensitization activities in institutions, schools, and communities surrounding them.

Fadhili is a registered Community Based Organization operating in Eldoret North Constituency. Our core business is peace. We do reach the communities residing in the above constituency through organizing games, sports and in planting trees.
Motor cycle accidents is a disaster in waiting for there is no hospital without a ward for victims of motor accident. So we do organize motorcycle awareness campaigns to teach, empower and introduce youth to micro finance organization in their vicinity.
We also participate in community work like encouraging groups to start fish farming and small ruminant animals to boost protein deficiency in the North Rift.
Of late, we have had a promising assistance in helping girl child with sanitary towels.
These all need good amounts of money that we do not have.
We will be greatly honoured if you will consider us.
